Welcome to my world...13 acres on the side of a mountain in north Georgia, which I share with my partner and a multitude of animals. Surrounded by Beauty and Love though I am, the roads I have traveled in this life have rarely been smooth. Yet I know True Love travels on a gravel road, and Wisdom is borne from adversity. As Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote ~ When it is dark enough, you can see the stars. So, whether expressed in an essay, poem, or photograph, these are the stars I've seen and the wisdom I've found. Open your eyes, and you may catch a falling star; open your mind, and you may discover pearls of wisdom.
Or not.

Just Another Silly Love Song...er, Poem

Because of you...
We have five cats
And I'm allergic to cats
Especially to the one
Who sleeps in our bed
On top of my head
Even though it's quite a big bed

Because of you...
We live in the sticks
With the frogs, spiders, and ticks
While I wear heels in the dirt
First hoping not to fall
Then that this town, so small
Gives this high-tone girl her own mall

Because of you...
Our house swells each day
With junk you won't give away
And should I dare to suggest
We have a yard sale
Goodwill if we fail
One of us would end up in jail

And because of you...
This house is a home
I know I'm never alone
And none of these little things
Can break us apart
Try testing my heart
For we are, Always, Split Aparts
